Vanessa Stretton came to Chinese Medicine by way of studying natural medicine and healing traditions from around the world. She found the ancient art of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine to be very effective, accessible, fascinating, and beautiful. She holds a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College, in Berkeley, CA and a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA.

Before moving to the Sacramento area, Dr. Stretton worked in the natural supplement field, as a consultant, and had a general practice acupuncture clinic in Napa, CA.

Dr. Stretton has worked with Dr. Lifang Liang, an expert in gynecology, acupuncture, and fertility in San Francisco. She trained with Atsuki Maeda, LAc in Japanese style needling technique that is gentle and painless. Dr. Stretton has also trained with the late Suzanne Friedman for certification in medical QiGong. She worked closely with Dr. David Cherry for over 4 years, adopting his techniques and effective approach to fertility at his practice in Sacramento; Acupuncture Fertility Specialists.

Dr. Stretton has completed certification in Reiki, INNATE Postpartum Care, and has training as a birth and bereavement Doula. She is also certified in Somatic Attachment Therapy and NAET.

Dr. Stretton is known for her gentle healing touch, her warm demeanor, and dedication to her patients.
